The Spectra Dual Portable is Spectra’s brand new breast pump in South Africa. (Note that this pump is the smaller sibling of the Spectra Synergy Gold, which we often receive queries about. However, the Synergy Gold only works with AC power and not with a battery, which is not ideal for obvious reasons, and which is why the supplier in South Africa has decided against importing it.)

We love this pump for it’s elegance and unique features. Note though that its speed is slower than that of the Spectra S1, which in our opinion still makes the S1 the better pump for moms doing exclusive pumping, moms who are away from baby for many hours and moms who are expressing for a premature baby.

Very compact and light, but powerful. I like the ability to have two different settings for two different breasts – as no two breasts are alike. The design is also aesthetically pleasing.
